株式会社ミリメーターは、職人の精巧な技と最新のIT技術を組み合わせることで世界をより豊かにする未来のものづくりをアイディンティティに、2015年10月に設立された会社です。3Dプリンターで立体看板を製作するサービスや、すべてがオンリーワンの『オリジナル漢字ペン立て』、おもちゃの線路『ワンレール』、思い出をデザインする『バックユアタイム』など、世の中に存在しない世界初のサービスを次々と生み出してきました。これからも最新技術の可能性を最大限に活かし、Made in Japanのものづくりの活性化に寄与していきたいと考えています。 MILLIMETER,INC. was founded in October 2015, with the idea that futuristic manufacturing enriches the world by combining craftsmanship and elaborate skills with the latest in IT technology. We created the world's first service producing 3D signs with 3D printers, the only "original kanji pen stand" and the toy railroad "One Rail", Design memories "Back your Time". We will continue to make the most of the possibilities of the latest technology and want to contribute to the revitalization of "Made in Japan" manufacturing.
ワークスタイルの多様化や保育園の整備など、女性の活躍を支援するための様々な取組みが社会に広まっています。にもかかわらず、働く女性の活躍を足元から支えるはずの靴の満足度は低いまま放置され、8割以上の女性が日常的な足の痛みに悩まされています。「オシャレな靴を履きたいのに、自分の足にフィットする靴が見つからない」「ヒールの高いパンプスを履くなら、多少の痛みは我慢するのが当たり前」このような声を覆し、オシャレとフィット感を両立させるために生まれたのが、「シューズカフェ」です。ここでは、靴を買うあなた自身がデザイナーとなって、革の材質や色、ヒール高やつま先の形状を自由に選ぶことができます。ちょっとした休憩時間にコーヒーや紅茶を楽しみながら、あなたの足の形と好みにあうオリジナルシューズを購入することができる世界初の空間です。 There has been a positive trend to support women in society including diversifying work styles and improving nursery schools. That said, satisfactory attention to shoes that support working women has not been addressed and more than 80% of women suffer from daily foot pain. Comments like, "I want to wear fashionable shoes, but I cannot find shoes that fit my feet properly." and "If you wear high-heeled pumps, it's normal to endure a bit of pain.” inspired the creation of “Shoes Cafe”. Here you can be your own designer. You choose the material and color of the leather, the heel height and the shape of the toe. It is the world's first space where you can buy original footwear that matches your shape and preference while enjoying a coffee or tea break.
シューズカフェでは「ルワンダ フイエマウンテン」や「エチオピア モカ」など厳選した豆を使用し、一杯ずつハンドドリップによるスペシャルコーヒーを提供。独自焙煎にこだわった3種のブレンドコーヒーや紅茶類も取り揃えています。オーダーメイドシューズをデザインする時間を本格的なハンドドリップのコーヒーとともに楽しむことができます。一般的なカフェとして利用することも可能で、普段なかなか見ることができない靴職人の手作業で靴が作られていく過程を間近に見ることもできます。近年ブームとなっているサードウェーブをベースに、職人の手によるモノづくりという新たな価値を加えた新スタイルのカフェをぜひ体験してみてください。 At the Shoe Cafe, we offer individually hand dripped and hand-selected beans including "Rwanda Huye Mountain" and "Ethiopia Mocha". Enjoy your authentic hand-dripped coffee while designing custom-made shoes and experiencing the rarely seen process of shoe making by real craftsmen. We welcome you to experience this new style of cafe which combines cutting edge manufacturing technology and handmade craftsmanship.
人の足の形は千差万別で左右で長さも違います。にもかかわらず、既製靴は十数パターン程度のサイズしか販売されておらず、特に靴紐による調整のできないパンプスは女性の足に無理を強いる商品でした。ミリメーターの創業メンバーは日本有数の職人達から足の計測と靴づくりのノウハウを学び、そのノウハウのデジタル化に挑戦してきました。足の3Dスキャンデータから靴の製造に必要となる木型を3Dプリンターで製作する手法を約2年の歳月をかけて確立、2017年1月から一般販売を開始します。 The shape and length of a person's legs varies and is different on the left and right. Millimeter’s founding members learned the techniques of foot measurements and shoes making from leading Japanese craftsmen, and have strove to digitize their know-how. Establishing a 3D foot scanning method for making wooden molds on a 3D printer required about 2 years and general sales will start in January 2017.
国内の靴事業者の多くは零細企業で、空洞化と高齢化が進んでいます。特に女性の悩みを解消できない女性靴の低迷は著しく、精巧な技術と経験に裏付けられた職人の技が日本から失われつつあります。私たちは最先端のデジタル技術を靴の製造現場に取り込むことによって、靴職人が培ってきた良き伝統を維持しながらも、そこに新しいイノベーションをおこすことを目指しています。未来のモノづくりを担う若い靴職人の雇用拡大と女性が生き生きと活躍出来る社会に貢献していきたいと考えています。 Many domestic shoe makers are small operations with aging craftsmen who will retire soon. In particular, skilled women's shoe makers and technology have stagnated or been lost. This prevents women’s footwear issues from being address or resolved. By incorporating state-of-the-art digital technology into shoe manufacturing, Millimeter aims to create new innovations while maintaining the craftsmanship and quality cultivated by traditional shoemakers. We hope to contribute to the expansion of the employment of young shoe craftspeople who will take on the responsibility of manufacturing goods and a society where women can make a living while working in comfort.
